Our Story

For more than 35 years, El Pionero has joyfully served the community of Arequipa under the faithful leadership of Pastors Willy and Aida Bustinza.

From the beginning, our mission has been simple: to glorify God by loving people, sharing the hope of Christ, and building up the next generation of community leaders. Our ministry expresses this calling through two united efforts.

Centro Cristiano El Pionero (The Pioneer Christian Center) is a Christ-centered church where families gather to worship, grow in faith, and experience the transforming love of Jesus. Grupo Educativo El Pionero (The Pioneer Educational Group) is an educational ministry formed by three schools that offer free, quality Christian education to more than 700 students, opening doors of opportunity and planting seeds of faith in young hearts. Everything we do is by God’s grace and for His glory. As He guides and provides, El Pionero continues to serve, teach, and shine the light of Christ in our community.
